About Me


My name is Amanda and I graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Arts (Internet Communications) in 2017. I studied online through Open Universities Australia, while being employed in a full-time role for the duration of my degree.

The degree was designed to give us the opportunity to learn about the human dimension of how we network, collaborate and ultimately share information through our design and media communications. The areas that were covered by the degree were:

  • Online research and analysis
  • Virtual Communities and their collaboration
  • Social Networks and social media
  • Internet Communications
  • Internet politics, regulation, and economics
  • Web presence, production, and publishing.

I have now also completed a Certificate III in Micro Business Operations which has enabled me to operate as a sole trader with my business. The course covered the following areas:

  •  Investigate micro business opportunities
  • Develop a micro business proposal
  • Organise finances for the micro business
  • Determine resource requirements for the micro business
  • Comply with regulatory, taxation and insurance requirements for the micro business
  • Deliver and monitor a service to customers
  • Maintain financial records
  • Plan a home based business
  • Market the small business
  • Organise personal work priorities and development
